Levenhuk New Skyline PLUS 114/900 EQ1 Telescope #86206

The Levenhuk New Skyline PLUS 114/900 EQ1 is a classic reflector telescope that is designed for those who take astronomy seriously and who want an instrument that will last. The large, fully multi-coated primary mirror gathers enough light to take you far beyond the Moon and planets. You will dive deep into the world of deep-sky objects, exploring star clusters, nebulae, and galaxies.

What you can see

Observing the Moon becomes a true event. You will clearly see craters just a few kilometers across, mountain ranges, rilles, and lunar seas in impressive detail. The planets are just as fascinating. On a clear night, you can make out Saturn’s rings and its brightest moons, Jupiter’s cloud bands and its four Galilean moons, the phases of Venus, and even the Martian polar caps during opposition.

However, the real strength of this telescope lies in exploring deep-sky objects. Bright nebulae are well within your reach: The Orion, Lagoon, and Ring. Many galaxies become easy targets: The Andromeda, Whirlpool, and Virgo Cluster. The sparkling stars in the Pleiades and the Hercules globular cluster are especially breathtaking. All of that, and yet it is just a tiny sample of the Messier catalog and thousands of other celestial objects you can observe with Levenhuk New Skyline PLUS 114/900 EQ1.

Everything you need for a quick start with no extra purchases required

The telescope comes with two eyepieces. The 25mm eyepiece is designed for wide-field scanning. Use it to find objects and observe large nebulae and clusters. The 10mm eyepiece is perfect for detailed views of planets and compact deep-sky objects. The kit also includes an optical finderscope to help you aim at the right patch of sky, plus a Barlow lens that doubles the magnification of any eyepiece. This means you get four different magnification options right out of the box. You can study every astronomical object at varying levels of detail.

The EQ1 equatorial mount features slow-motion controls on both axes, allowing you to manually track an object smoothly to compensate for the Earth’s rotation. After polar alignment, tracking becomes a simple matter of turning just one knob. This is significantly easier than constantly adjusting the telescope on an alt-azimuth mount.

The aluminum tripod is fully adjustable in height, ensuring that children and adults can observe the cosmos comfortably whether standing or sitting. An accessory tray on the tripod keeps your eyepieces and filters neatly stored and within reach.
