Levenhuk New Skyline PRO MAK 102/1300 AZ-EQA Telescope #86217

The Levenhuk New Skyline PRO MAK 102/1300 AZ-EQA is a great choice for ambitious astronomers who want more than just a glimpse of the Moon and glowing planetary dots. This telescope reveals real details like surface terrain, cloud features, and large planetary disks. With a focal length of 1300mm, this telescope has a surprisingly compact body, so it is easy to store and take on countryside trips. The Maksutov-Cassegrain optical design eliminates chromatic aberration and minimizes other optical distortions. The image is always sharp, bright, and high contrast.

What’s in the box?

A clear advantage of this model is its comprehensive kit. It includes 10mm and 25mm eyepieces that provide magnifications of 130x, and 52x. The kit also features a red dot finder, a sturdy aluminum tripod, and a convenient accessory tray for storing small items. You can start observing space right after completing the assembly, as no additional purchases are required.

The centerpiece of the set is the AZ-EQA dual altazimuth and equatorial mount that lets you choose the mode that best fits your observing session. Do you want to quickly point at large and obvious targets like the Moon? Choose the altazimuth mode. Do you plan to track a specific object for a long time without it drifting out of view? The equatorial mode is your best choice.

How far can you look into space?

You get two working magnifications right out of the box. The 52x magnification is perfect for wide-field views of the Moon, allowing it to fit entirely in the eyepiece. It also helps you find fuzzy patches of globular clusters like M13 in Hercules.

The 130x magnification reveals more detail. The lunar surface turns into a real map. You can study individual craters, their terraces, and central peaks. With a clear and stable atmosphere, you can make out more complex cloud structures on Jupiter and spot the Great Red Spot during opposition. Saturn’s rings separate clearly from the planet, and tight double stars resolve into individual components.
