The Levenhuk Fatum Z250 is a monocular thermal viewer with a form factor that allows the detection of a target similar in size to a car up to 2400 m away. A smaller target, such as a wild boar, can be detected at a distance of about 620 m. This device is compact, lightweight, and easy to handle, perfect for prolonged use. Its main application areas are hunting and agriculture, security and search operations, as well as outdoor sports.
The thermal image is produced by a microbolometer matrix with a resolution of 400x300 pixels. It is possible to select color palettes from five available options. A laser designator capable of illuminating the target up to 200 m away can also be used. There is an automatic hot spot detection function, allowing a quick response to any changing situation. The magnification is a combination of optical and digital zoom and can be adjusted in discrete steps (from a minimum of 2.4x to a maximum of 9.6x).
This device has a particularly robust design. It offers excellent performance even in rain or snow, thanks to the IP66 protection rating: not even strong water jets can damage this device. During the design phase, maximum priority was given to energy efficiency. The power source is a rechargeable battery, energy-saving mode can be set, and there is an automatic shutdown function when the device is not in use. A single charge provides up to 7 hours of autonomy. Another key design element is the tripod thread with a standard 1/4" diameter.
The monocular thermal viewer is equipped with a built-in Wi-Fi module and is compatible with the mobile app TargetIR. After installing the app on a smartphone, it is possible to obtain real-time images from the monocular thermal viewer and adjust its settings remotely. Additionally, through the app, it is possible to take photos and record videos, saving them on the smartphone. A rangefinder function is also available. The monocular thermal viewer can be connected to other external devices via Bluetooth or cable with a USB Type-C connector.
