Levenhuk MED 35B Binocular Microscope

Levenhuk MED 35B is a binocular microscope with planachromatic lenses and wide-field eyepieces. It is designed for professional observations and can be used for microbiology, biochemistry, medicine, and other scientific research fields. The microscope provides a high-quality image without aberrations, an almost flat field of view, and allows setting Köhler illumination.

Planachromatic optics with infinity correction

The Levenhuk MED 35 series microscopes are equipped with an infinity-corrected optical system, used in professional and high-level microscopes. This system includes planachromatic objectives and allows the transmission of clear images, with high contrast and an excellent level of flatness.

One of the most important features of the infinity-corrected optical system is that it allows the installation of additional parts in the optical path between the objective lens and the eyepiece. These additional parts include polarizers for epi-fluorescence and devices. Overall, the modular design and ease of use make Levenhuk MED 35 microscopes optimal tools for use in various microscopy fields, for work in hematology, histology, microbiology labs, and much more.

Optical capabilities

The binocular head allows observation with both eyes. The tilt angle of 30° enables comfortable prolonged observations. Moreover, the rotatable 360° head facilitates group observations. Wide-field eyepieces provide 10x magnification, are equipped with diopter adjustment, and allow working with extended samples. The revolving nosepiece contains five objectives. Some of them have a spring mounting. The 100x objectives can be used for oil immersion. All optical elements are protected with an anti-fungal coating. Lens sharpness is adjusted with coarse and fine focus knobs.

Comfortable slide work

Below the optical unit is a mechanical graduated stage. Samples are illuminated from below by a 30 W halogen lamp. The light passes through an Abbe condenser in which an iris diaphragm is installed. The kit includes three filters.

The light is powered by AC power.

Attention:

For information regarding the correct mains voltage, consult the specifications table. Never attempt to connect a 110 V device to a 220 V socket and vice versa without using a voltage converter. Please note that the mains voltage is 220–240 V in most European countries and 110 V in the USA and Canada.

The Levenhuk MED 35B binocular microscope is compatible with Levenhuk digital cameras (sold separately). Levenhuk cameras are installed on the optical tube instead of an eyepiece.
