Levenhuk Skyline BASE 60T is a refractor used to observe the craters of Mars, the phases of Venus, faint and double stars, or terrestrial objects. Levenhuk Skyline BASE 60T is suitable for observing the wonders of the Universe, but it is perfect for exploring outer space. This is why a beginner astronomer or a child interested in science will distinguish this telescope among similar models. Thanks to its simple operation and its extended kit, this telescope is excellent for the first observations and will be a desired gift for many astronomy lovers.

Inside the telescope are fully coated glass optical elements. The lenses deliver a sharp and high-contrast image, do not fog up, and also show dimly lit objects with good quality. The optical tube is mounted on an altazimuth mount. Learning its operating principle does not take much time: even a child will quickly understand how to operate the telescope. An optical finder helps you track objects in the sky or on the horizon. It is included in the kit and offers 5x magnification.

Besides the finder, the box also contains other accessories. Two eyepieces are essential for the correct choice of magnification. A short focal length eyepiece increases magnification up to 175x, the other eyepiece with long focal length offers a magnification of 35x. The higher the magnification, the more detailed the object you will see—a low magnification allows observing enlarged objects. The kit includes a prism diagonal. This instrument is used to study terrestrial objects. Telescopes provide a distorted (inverted) image, unsuitable for terrestrial observations. A prism diagonal corrects this distortion and makes the image appear normal.

An aluminum tripod is used to mount the telescope. It is stable and reliable. Thanks to its height-adjustable legs, the tripod remains firmly standing even on rough surfaces. An accessory tray is included.

  • Refractor with coated optical elements, mounted on an altazimuth mount
