The Levenhuk Rainbow 50L PLUS microscope would be the perfect gift for a curious teenager, a biology student, or a laboratory technician. The maximum magnification power of this instrument is 1280x – enough to see the smallest details of samples observed under the microscope. The model has a sturdy and reliable body – the Rainbow 50L PLUS microscope can be used as a household tool, as well as for laboratory work in schools and universities.
Optical element quality
Three objectives allow magnifications of 64x, 160x, and 640x. The 40x objective lenses have a special spring mechanism. When focusing, you might accidentally touch the observed sample with the objective lens. But the spring-loaded lens will retract slightly, avoiding any damage. The kit also includes 2x Barlow lenses, which double the magnification of each given objective lens. The basic kit allows for a magnification of 1280x!
The lenses are made of high-quality coated glass with a special anti-reflective treatment. The images produced will always be sharp, contrasted, and crystal clear.
Universal LED illumination system
The microscope is equipped with LED light sources. To observe transparent samples such as small parts of plants or small crustaceans, use lower illumination. Top illumination is used for opaque objects – paper fiber, coins, and many other interesting things. Semi-transparent objects are best seen using both top and bottom illumination. Adjustable brightness allows you to choose the ideal amount of light for each sample.
Ergonomic body
The microscope stands out for its modern ergonomic design. The reliable metal body of the microscope ensures a long service life. The monocular head is inclined at 45 degrees, allowing for the most convenient observation position and avoiding fatigue, even after several hours of work. Moreover, the head rotates 360 degrees around its axis, which is very convenient for group work. Illumination is powered by AC energy as well as batteries, should you want to conduct research outdoors.
Attention: Refer to the specification table for the correct mains voltage and never attempt to connect a 110 V device to a 220 V outlet and vice versa without using a converter. Remember that the mains voltage in the United States and Canada is 110 V, and 220–240 V in most European countries.
Performing experiments under the microscope
The microscope is great for experienced users as well as complete beginners. The Levenhuk K50 experiment kit will help them conduct their first experiments and learn many new things about the microworld.
