The Levenhuk 400B is a laboratory binocular microscope for professional use, suitable for microbiologists, medical and veterinary biotechnologists, ornithologists, ecologists, or biochemists. This universal model can be used for bright-field analysis and oil immersion observations. The microscope features a durable metal body, high-quality achromatic optics, and intense LED illumination with a collector.
The binocular head is optimal for prolonged microscope observations, as it reduces eye strain. It can be rotated 360° around its own axis; the end part of the optical tube is inclined at 30°. The wide-field eyepieces provide 10x magnification; the achromatic objectives are already installed on a revolving nosepiece and have magnifications of 4x, 10x, 40x, and 100x. The total magnification of the microscope therefore ranges from 40x to 1000x. The 40x and 100x objectives are equipped with a retractable spring mechanism to protect the front lens. The 100x objective can be used for oil immersion.
The stage is equipped with a mechanical translator; below the stage, there is an Abbe condenser with an iris diaphragm and filter holder. Even lower is the illumination unit: an LED light with a collector. The light brightness is adjustable. Given the battery-powered option, it is easy to use the microscope even away from a power outlet.
