The Levenhuk Ra FT72 ED spotting scope is an apochromatic refractor for astrophotography. This telescope can be used both as a terrestrial spotting scope and as an objective lens for a camera. It can be used to observe space, but the main use of this telescope is in the field of photography. Thanks to the extra-low dispersion optics and the eyepiece that efficiently gathers light, this telescope produces high-contrast images with minimal chromatic aberration. The kit also includes an aluminum case which makes it easier to protect and transport the telescope.
The main feature of the Levenhuk Ra FT72 ED is the 2' helical focuser. It is robust and allows for very accurate focusing with smooth movement and no backlash. This ensures clearer and sharper images than those obtainable with a rack and pinion focuser or even with a more advanced Crayford focuser. Moreover, it is compatible with heavy accessories.
The optical tube has a standard 1/4' thread, making it compatible with most modern mounts and tripods. To install an SLR camera, a special adapter is required, which is not included in the kit.
