The Levenhuk MED 45T trinocular microscope is a professional instrument for microscopic studies from 40x to 1000x. It uses planachromatic phase contrast objective lenses, corrected at infinity, and features Köhler illumination adjustment. You can study a sample using phase contrast in brightfield or darkfield. This microscope is absolutely essential for a microbiologist, biochemist, or health professional.
Advantages of the phase contrast method
It is worth emphasizing that this optical instrument also allows phase contrast microscopy. This method improves the contrast and sharpness of images of transparent and semi-transparent samples to a level achievable by the standard method only by treating the samples with dye. That is why phase contrast microscopy is essential for studying in vivo samples in their natural conditions, as the staining process would cause cell death. This method can be applied to drinking water and parasite analysis, cytological, hematological analyses, and other research fields.
Planachromatic optics with infinity correction
The Levenhuk MED 45 series microscopes are equipped with an infinity-corrected optical system, used in professional and high-level microscopes. This system includes planachromatic objectives and delivers clear, high-contrast images with excellent flatness.
One of the most important characteristics of the infinity-corrected optical system is that it allows the installation of additional components in the optical path between the objective lens and the eyepiece. Additional parts include the polarizer for epi-fluorescence and devices. Overall, the modular design and ease of use make the Levenhuk MED 45 microscopes optimal tools for use in various fields of microscopy, for work in hematology, histology, microbiology laboratories, and much more.
Rotatable trinocular head
The viewing part of the trinocular head is inclined at 30°, while the eyepiece tube for a digital camera is vertical. The camera is not included in the kit. It is possible to rotate the entire head 360° around its own axis.
Optical capabilities
The revolving nosepiece can accommodate five objectives; the kit includes four planachromatic phase contrast objective lenses of various magnifications. The high magnification objectives have spring-loaded mounts. A 100x objective is for oil immersion observations. The widefield eyepieces enable handling large samples and diopter adjustment for the user's vision. The optical system transmits a high-definition, high-contrast image, generates a flat field, and reduces chromatic aberration. All accessories are made of optical glass with anti-fungal coating.
Comfortable work with slides
The stage has a mechanical translator. The stage can move in two directions. The phase contrast condenser is intended only for dry method observations. The light source is located underneath. It is a 5W LED with brightness adjustment. You can adjust sharpness by turning the coarse and fine focus knobs.
The light is powered by an AC power supply.

Attention:
For information regarding the correct mains voltage, please consult the specifications table. Never attempt to connect a 110 V device to a 220 V power outlet and vice versa without using a voltage converter. Note that the mains voltage is 220–240 V in most European countries and 110 V in the United States and Canada.
