To create the bullet Tipped Triple-Shock X (TTSX), Barnes took their best-selling bullet, the TSX, and added a polymer tip to it. The aerodynamic tip increases the ballistic coefficient, thereby improving its ballistic qualities over long distances.
Like the TSX, the Tipped Triple-Shock is lead-free and is entirely copper. The numerous grooves in the lower part of the body serve to reduce pressures and increase intrinsic accuracy. Ideal for hunting, especially deer, the TTSX bullet expands instantly, doubling its original diameter. Instead of deforming into a lead mushroom, the TTSX bullet splits into four copper petals with the jagged tip, ensuring maximum penetration capability.
