To create the Tipped Triple-Shock X (TTSX)bullet, Barnes took its best-selling TSX bullet and added a polymer tip. The aerodynamic tip increases the ballistic coefficient, thereby improving its ballistic qualities over long distances.
Like the TSX, the Tipped Triple-Shock is lead-free and is made entirely of copper. The numerous grooves on the lower part of the body serve to reduce pressures and increase intrinsic accuracy. Ideal for hunting, especially deer, the TTSX bullet expands instantly, doubling its original diameter. Instead of deforming into a lead mushroom, the TTSX bullet splits into four copper petals with the jagged tip, ensuring maximum penetration capability.
