To create the bullet Tipped Triple-Shock X (TTSX)Barnes took their best-selling TSX bullet and added a polymer tip to it. The aerodynamic tip increases the ballistic coefficient, thus improving its ballistic qualities over long distances.
Like the TSX, the Tipped Triple-Shock is lead-free and is entirely copper. The numerous grooves in the lower part of the bullet’s body serve to reduce pressures and increase inherent accuracy. Ideal for hunting, particularly deer, the TTSX bullet expands instantly, doubling its original diameter. Instead of deforming into a lead mushroom, the TTSX bullet splits into four copper petals with a jagged tip, ensuring maximum penetration capability.
