To create the bullet Tipped Triple-Shock X (TTSX)Barnes took its best-selling bullet, the TSX, and added a polymer tip. The aerodynamic tip increases the ballistic coefficient, thereby improving ballistic performance at long ranges.
Like the TSX, the Tipped Triple-Shock is lead-free and is entirely copper. The numerous grooves in the lower part of the bullet’s body serve to reduce pressures and increase intrinsic accuracy. Ideal for hunting, particularly deer, the TTSX bullet expands instantly, doubling its original diameter. Instead of deforming into a lead mushroom, the TTSX bullet splits into four copper petals with a jagged tip, ensuring maximum penetration capability.
