Large Rifle Primer

The 6.5 Creedmoor was designed as a target caliber in 2007 by Hornady, but it has also become an extremely popular caliber for hunting. Although it is not as long as some other short-action 6.5 calibers, such as the .260 Remington, the Creedmoor uses a 30° shoulder and a very reduced body taper to achieve similar ballistics. The reduced length also gives it greater versatility in terms of bullet seating depth. Almost all major rifle manufacturers offer bolt-action or modern sporting rifles in 6.5 Creedmoor, thanks to its versatility and inherent accuracy.
