The Discovery Report W30-S remote sensor measures temperature over a very wide operating range. It operates effectively both at icy temperatures and at higher temperatures. It is designed to be used in tandem with the Discovery Report W30 weather station. Data is transmitted via radio link, so the main unit and the sensor can be positioned even at a great distance from each other without the use of cables.

The sensor can be hung on a wall (there is a wall hook on the back panel) or placed on a folding stand. It is powered by standard batteries, easy to purchase in any store. There is an LED indicator on the front panel and a channel switch on the back panel.

Alkaline batteries are recommended for remote sensors.
