The Levenhuk Fatum Z1000 monocular thermal viewer has a professional-grade 640x480 pixel sensor that can be used for the most complex activities in total darkness. The detection range is 2800 meters for large objects and up to 1400 meters for medium and small objects. These features make it an essential tool for target identification during hunting, search and rescue operations, or security and surveillance activities. Additionally, this device is water-resistant, allowing use in any weather condition, from torrential rain to snowstorms.
Its optical setup provides a 2x magnification, but for more distant targets, an adjustable digital zoom can be used, continuously variable between 1x and 8x. In other words, the device's maximum magnification is 16x. To achieve a clearer image with better contrast, you can select a color palette from the six available options. Moreover, it features hot spot detection, Picture in Picture mode, and a laser designator with an operational range of 200 meters, all functions that make it easier to detect heat-emitting targets.
The device's additional functions are also noteworthy. The integrated camera allows you to take photos and record videos (with 16 GB internal memory). The rangefinder is useful for quickly calculating the distance to the selected target. You can view images on your smartphone screen and access settings remotely via Wi-Fi connection and the TargetIR mobile app. The image can be displayed on an external screen via the microHDMI port. The USB Type-C port is used for data transfer and device charging. It is also possible to use a Bluetooth remote control.
If you want to set the monocular for stationary observations, you can use the 1/4" tripod mount. This device is powered by two rechargeable batteries with a total capacity of 6000 mAh, enough for up to 4.5 hours of operation.
