Models with first focal plane (FFP) reticles allow maintaining the correct proportion of aiming references regardless of the magnification being used. As the magnification increases, the size of the reticle also increases, simultaneously with the image being viewed.

By using a combination of FFP optics, reticles with Mil spacing, and turrets with 1/10 MRAD sensitivity, Hawke has made basic adjustments at any magnification. The Mil Pro reticle in the first focal plane is a milliradian-spaced reticle, with half-Mil references extending up to an overall measurement of 10 Mil.

FFP MIL PRO (15×) RETICLE

The FFP Mil Pro reticle was specifically designed for first focal plane optics and is based on the common principles of Mil-spaced reticles. With half the Mil marks spaced extending up to 10 Mil in elevation, the FFP Mil Pro reticle is highly versatile and provides aiming points even at the most extreme distances.

All reticle measurements use Mil spacing and offer 1 Mil, 0.5 Mil, and 0.25 Mil marks for range calculation. The lower section shows a number every two Mil spacings, for quick and easy target acquisition and easy reference.

Each crosshair features a transparent space, to avoid blocking the view of the target. The thick outer stems are hollow to remain visible at all magnifications without excessively obstructing the view.
