Models with first focal plane (FFP) reticles allow the correct proportion of aiming references to be maintained regardless of the magnification being used. As the magnification increases, the size of the reticle also increases, simultaneously with the image being viewed.

Using a combination of FFP optics, reticles with Mil spacing, and turrets with sensitivity of 1/10 MRAD, Hawke has made elementary adjustments possible at any magnification. The Mil Pro reticle on the first focal plane is a reticle with milliradian spacing, with half-Mil references extending to an overall measurement of 10 Mil.

FFP MIL PRO (25×) RETICLE

The FFP Mil Pro reticle was specifically created for first focal plane optics and is based on the common principles of Mil-spaced reticles. With half Mil marks spaced extending to 10 Mil in cant, the FFP Mil Pro reticle is highly versatile and provides aiming points even at extreme distances.

All reticle measurements use Mil spacing and offer markings of 1 Mil, 0.5 Mil, and 0.25 Mil for distance calculation. The lower section shows a number every two Mil spacings, for quick and simple target acquisition and easy reference.

Each crosshair features a transparent space to avoid blocking the target view. The thick outer posts are hollow, to remain visible at all magnifications without excessively obstructing the view.

The 5-25× models are equipped with additional 1/4 Mil aiming points on the central section of the reticle to provide even greater precision.
