Discovery Channel informs, entertains, and inspires its audience around the world about the wonders of our planet, its diversity, and its surprises. Offering millions of people the opportunity to make new discoveries and satisfy their curiosities, Discovery provides an engaging mix of storytelling across multiple genres: science and technology, exploration, adventure, history, and a behind-the-scenes look at people, places, and organizations shaping the world we live in.
We are proud to present the Discovery line of optical instruments, produced by Levenhuk and sponsored by Discovery.
The Discovery Artisan 512 digital microscope is suitable for working with precious metals, jewelry, electronic circuits, watch mechanisms, minerals, and biological samples. Thanks to the polarizing filter, it proves practical even for examining objects with shiny surfaces, as this filter reduces unwanted reflections. The built-in camera allows you to capture images and record videos. This can be useful for keeping a digital archive of your observations.
The displayed images are captured by a 5 MP microscope camera. The brightness of the LED illumination is adjustable, thus providing the best working conditions. The camera offers magnification from 10 to 300x and an additional digital zoom enables observation of objects up to 1200x. The vivid and detailed image is then transmitted to the integrated 5″ LCD screen. The screen makes it easier to work with the instrument for long periods, as observing the image on the display is much more comfortable than using the eyepiece of a classic microscope. The color screen has good image resolution.
The microscope can also be connected to an external monitor, TV, or computer. The kit includes all necessary cables. Therefore, there is no need to purchase them separately. To save photos and videos, a memory card should be used (not included). MicroSD cards with capacities up to 32 GB are supported. The microscope is sold with computer software that offers various features, including measurement of the observed objects. You can measure the radius, diameter, angle between three points, length of a line, and much more.
The microscope is powered either by AC power or the built-in battery, which provides up to three hours of autonomy.

Software usage tips.
For correct program operation, launch the installed application only when the microscope is connected to the PC and ready for observation.
Note: The mains voltage in the United States and Canada is 110 V, while in most European countries it is 220–240 V. For information on the correct mains voltage, consult the specifications table. Never attempt to connect a 110 V device to a 220 V power outlet, or vice versa, without using a voltage converter.
The Discovery Artisan 512 digital microscope is not compatible with external digital cameras.
