Fascinating and rich in style, the Levenhuk Rainbow 2L microscope can transform even the most boring biology lesson into an engaging educational experience. This microscope allows young people to discover how the things around them are made, to study insects and plants, to find out if yogurt really contains living organisms, and many other interesting things. The Levenhuk Rainbow 2L comes with an experimental kit, so a young explorer can start using the microscope straight out of the box.
High-quality optics
The lenses are made of special optical glass with a high level of transparency. Additionally, the optical surfaces are treated with a multi-layer coating, which increases the amount of transmitted light and improves image quality. The model is sold with three objective lenses supplied, so the microscope can offer magnifications between 40x and 400x. Changing magnification is very easy: simply rotate the objective turret.
Versatility: examine both transparent and opaque samples
One of the main advantages of this microscope is the ability to observe both transparent and opaque samples. To this end, the microscope is equipped with two light sources. Bottom illumination is used to observe transparent samples, such as thin sections of plants and insects. Top illumination allows observing opaque objects, such as small stones, coins, banknotes, and many others. Moreover, it is possible to observe semi-transparent samples by turning on both light sources. The selection of interesting samples to examine is limited only by their size and the observer's imagination.
Smart design
The microscope, with its plastic body, is much lighter than those made of metal, so it is much easier and more practical to carry to school, for a walk, or to a friend's house. At the same time, the microscope is sturdy and therefore perfect for intensive use. To offer greater comfort during observation, the head is tilted at 45°. The lighting can be powered by batteries or via a wall outlet.
Attention: Refer to the specifications table for the correct mains voltage and never attempt to connect a 110 V device to a 220 V socket and vice versa without using a converter. Remember that the mains voltage in the United States and Canada is 110 V and 220–240 V in most European countries.
