The pilots are precisely sharpened and are .005" smaller than the diameter of the bullet. Designed for use with Forster case trimmers, are also compatible with Redding and Hornady Lathes. These pilots are necessary for trimming cases of various calibers. Without the use of the correct pilot, the cases will not be trimmed evenly.
To use, loosen the Allen nut on the cutter shaft, place the appropriate pilot on the shaft, and tighten the Allen nut.
