We are proud to present the Discovery optical instrument line, produced by Levenhuk and sponsored by Discovery.
The Discovery Sky T60 is a classic AZ refractor. It is an excellent choice for beginners. Firstly, its optics allow observing many cosmic objects (the Moon is easy to examine); moreover, learning to use this telescope takes only a couple of minutes. The well-equipped accessory kit is another undeniable advantage of this telescope: there is no need to purchase anything separately! The kit even includes an educational book about the cosmos.
All objects can be observed at different magnifications. Just swap the eyepiece or add a Barlow lens to vary the magnification range. An erecting eyepiece and a mirror diagonal are included in the kit for terrestrial observations. These accessories make it possible to use the telescope as a powerful terrestrial spotting scope. An optical finder installed on the telescope tube is useful for locating celestial bodies’ positions.
The AZ mount is equipped with a micrometric screw on the vertical axis, allowing smooth and precise adjustment of the telescope to center the desired object. The tripod is made of aluminum alloy and equipped with an accessory tray. The tripod height is adjustable, so the telescope can easily fit the user's height. The tripod is stable and remains securely in position even on uneven surfaces.
The educational book "Space. Non-empty Vacuum" is very helpful in mastering the basics of astronomy. This colorful guide illustrates every aspect of the Solar System (the Sun, planets, and their satellites), meteors and comets, distant stars, and much more, all in accessible language. The book contains vivid illustrations and tips on using the telescope.
