The Discovery Elbrus 8x42 is a powerful binocular with wide-aperture lenses, ideal for field observations. This binocular offers 8x magnification and a relatively wide field of view, works effectively during the day and at dusk, and is equipped with features needed to adapt to the requirements of any user. It is a perfect binocular for hunting and fishing, hiking, and birdwatching.

This binocular features optics with fully coated anti-reflective treatment in BK-7 glass. The objective lenses and prisms are multi-coated, so it is possible to obtain bright images with high contrast even in low-light conditions. The optical scheme is based on roof prisms, which makes the binocular more compact compared to many models with similar features. With 8x magnification, the field of view is wide enough to observe groups of objects.

To tailor the binocular to individual needs, several settings can be adjusted. Sharpness is controlled by a central focusing wheel. The interpupillary distance can be adjusted. The right eyepiece has a diopter adjustment ring — the eyecups are retractable with a twist-up adjustment. These features make the binocular comfortable for all users.

The plastic body is equipped with a standard thread for mounting the binocular on a 1/4" tripod.
