General information

Thanks to the reliable performance of the Levenhuk D70L digital biological microscope, the image definition is extraordinary, especially at the edges. The basic configuration allows extensive image processing possibilities.

The Levenhuk D70L is used for observing transparent and opaque objects in transmitted light using the bright field method, for biological use and educational demonstrations.

The microscope includes:

• Support with focusing arm

Levenhuk D70L modules:

Focusing arm
The focusing arm located on the support allows vertical movement of the sample stage. The knobs are located on both sides of the support. The total focusing range is at least 10 mm (0.4 inches).

Sample stage
The sample stage is fixed on the bracket and the focusing arm block. The sample holder is located on the surface of the stage and the diaphragm is connected underneath the stage. A stop screw limits the movements of the stage bracket to avoid contact between objective and sample.

Rotating objective holder
The rotating objective holder houses three objectives. To replace an objective, simply rotate the ring to the desired position.

Microscope care

• Keep the microscope clean and protected from damage. When not in use, cover it with the included special case.
• To preserve the microscope, regularly remove dust and clean it with a soft cloth slightly moistened with acid-free petroleum jelly and finally wipe the surface with a clean, dry, and soft cloth.
• Keep metal parts clean. Pay special attention to the lenses and keep them clean, especially objectives and eyepieces.
• Do not touch optical surfaces with fingers.
• In case of dust on the entire objective body, carefully clean the lenses with a clean cotton swab slightly moistened with Levenhuk cleaning spray or a mixture of substances. If dust is noticed inside the objective or a film inside the lenses, the objective must be repaired.
• Never attempt to disassemble objectives and eyepieces as this will void the warranty.

* Attention: Refer to the specifications table for the correct mains voltage and never attempt to connect a 110 V device to a 220 V outlet and vice versa without using a converter. Remember that the mains voltage in the United States and Canada is 110 V and 220–240 V in most European countries.

Furthermore, the Levenhuk D70L digital biological microscope is compatible with Levenhuk digital cameras (sold separately). Levenhuk cameras are installed in the eyepiece tube, replacing an eyepiece.
