The Discovery Nano Polar digital microscope is a monocular biological microscope with a 0.3 MP digital camera. It can be used both for classic observations and for creating a digital research archive. The camera allows you to view images on an external screen, take photos, and record videos of your research. The kit includes an educational illustrated book about the wonders of the microcosm.
Achromatic glass optics
The optical system includes a wide-field 10x eyepiece and three achromatic objectives: 4x, 10x, and 40x. The 40x objective is equipped with a retractable spring-loaded protective mechanism. The microscope’s magnification range goes from 40x to 400x. Since its optics are glass, the device delivers a clear and high-contrast image, allowing the examination of even the tiniest details of a sample.
Dual LED illumination
The lighting system consists of two LEDs positioned above and below the stage. The size of the lower LED light beam can be adjusted using the disc diaphragm. Illumination is battery-powered (batteries not included). The stage is equipped with simple clips to hold the slide.
0.3 MP digital camera for photo and video capture
The 0.3 MP digital camera can be installed in place of the eyepiece and connected to a computer via a USB cable (included). For proper operation, software installation is required. The software installation CD is included in the kit. Please check the system requirements listed in the specifications. The camera is powered via the USB cable and expands the microscope’s capabilities. The maximum resolution is 640x480 pixels, and video recording is possible at a high frame rate: 30 frames per second. Basic image processing functions are also available (brightness adjustment, image resizing, etc.)
Included educational book 'Invisible World'*
To make exploring the microcosm even more interesting, we have added the educational book 'Invisible World' to the kit. It discusses how microscopes work and explains what protozoa, microbes, molds, bacteria, and many other objects and creatures that can be studied under the microscope are. The book contains descriptions of fascinating scientific experiments that can be conducted right at home.
An important distinctive element of this microscope: it is sold accompanied by a Discovery Flora and Fauna set including 24 prepared slides.
