Clean the barrel and cartridge bearing with a cleaning patch or a felt plug soaked in BALLISTOL. Depending on the degree of dirtiness, repeat several times. Instill or spray the individual parts and the magazine and dry with a lint-free cloth. If there are metal traces in the barrel, use BALLISTOL generously. Then clean with a dry cleaning patch or felt plug and pull it from the cartridge bearing toward the muzzle. If you intend to store the weapon for a long time, leave it covered with BALLISTOL. In this case, however, clean with a dry cloth before using the weapon next time! Clean the external parts of the weapon with an ultra-thin layer of BALLISTOL. Do not apply it too vigorously, as this leads to mechanical abrasion of the bluing: BALLISTOL cares for and preserves your weapon, keeps the mechanism running smoothly, and removes bullet residues from the barrel. Applied densely, BALLISTOL, after some time, forms a white film similar to vaseline that at the same time protects against corrosion and maintains the sliding of moving parts. However, this film has nothing to do with resinification! Acidic combustion residues are chemically neutralized and rendered harmless. This is only possible with an alkaline lubricating oil like BALLISTOL!
