Levenhuk Ra 200N F5 Optical Tube OTA

The Levenhuk Ra 200N F5 OTA is an optical tube for deep space exploration. It is a powerful large-aperture Newtonian reflector that can be used both for classic observations and astrophotography. This optical tube without a mount (OTA, Optical Tube Assembly) will prove to be an excellent tool for any amateur astronomer, as it allows viewing many nebulae, galaxies, and various star clusters, as well as lunar craters, dust storms on Mars, Saturn’s rings, and even Jupiter’s Medicean moons. It is possible to observe a large number of astronomical objects in detail.

The telescope’s optical design is based on a primary mirror with a diameter of 200 mm. The mirror is coated with an aluminum coating. Its reflection coefficient is 92~96%. The transmitted image is clear and crisp, and no optical distortions appear even at maximum magnification. On the rear side of the telescope tube, there is a cooling fan. It almost doubles the speed of the temperature stabilization process. It makes it possible to reach thermal equilibrium between the mirror and the ambient temperature much faster than in other telescopes. This is very important if the optical tube is stored in a heated room and taken outside for observations. The fan is battery-powered (batteries sold separately).

Sharpness is adjustable with greater smoothness and precision compared to basic-level models. This advantage results from the use of a dual-speed Crayford focuser.

The optical tube is equipped with a set of standard mount clamps and therefore can be installed on most modern mounts.
