The Levenhuk MED 40T is a trinocular microscope with an infinity-corrected planachromatic optical system that can be used for professional microscopic studies from 40x to 1000x. The microscope produces a clear, high-contrast, distortion-free image and allows the study of small structures on a fully flattened field. It will be a perfect choice for a professional in a clinical diagnostic laboratory, an employee of a scientific research center, or an educational institution.
Infinity-corrected planachromatic optics
The Levenhuk MED 40 series microscopes are equipped with an infinity-corrected optical system, used in professional and high-level microscopes. This system includes planachromatic objectives and allows transmission of clear, high-contrast images with excellent flatness.
One of the most important features of the infinity-corrected optical system is that it allows the installation of additional parts in the optical path between the objective lens and the eyepiece. The additional parts include a polarizer for epi-fluorescence and devices. Overall, the modular design and ease of use make Levenhuk MED 40 microscopes optimal tools for use in various fields of microscopy, for work in hematology, histology, microbiology laboratories, and much more.
Rotatable head with beam splitter
The trinocular head allows simultaneous observation of samples in the traditional way and viewing images on an external screen online. The head includes a binocular viewing part and a separate tube where a camera can be mounted (camera not included). The viewing module is tilted at 30°, preventing neck muscle stiffness. The tube for a digital camera is vertical. For convenient group observations, the head can be rotated 360°. A beam splitter is present.
Optical capabilities
The optical system includes two wide-field eyepieces and five planachromatic objective lenses. Observations can be performed using the standard or oil immersion method (for oil immersion, a 100x objective lens is used). The eyepieces have 10x magnification and diopter adjustment. Three objectives with the highest magnification are equipped with spring-loaded mounts that protect the optics from accidental damage. All optical surfaces of the accessories are protected with an anti-fungal coating. Coarse and fine focusing is available.
Comfortable work with slides
Below the optical system is a stage with a mechanical translator. Below, there is an Abbe condenser with an iris diaphragm. Samples are illuminated from below with intense 5 W LED light. Light brightness is adjustable. Köhler illumination is available.
The light requires an AC power supply. Light brightness is adjustable.

Attention:
For information regarding correct mains voltage, consult the specifications table. Never attempt to connect a 110 V device to a 220 V power outlet and vice versa without using a voltage converter. Note that mains voltage is 220–240 V in most European countries and 110 V in the United States and Canada.
Some things you can observe under the microscope:
The Levenhuk MED 40T trinocular microscope is compatible with Levenhuk digital cameras (sold separately). Levenhuk cameras are mounted on the optical tube, replacing an eyepiece.
