It is possible to take the Levenhuk Nelson 7x50 marine binoculars fishing or on a trip at sea, lake, or river without fear of damaging them. The waterproof body reliably protects the lenses from moisture. The 7x magnification is sufficient for a detailed study of distant objects. The 50 mm aperture objective lens collects a significant amount of light, thus providing a bright and sharp image.
This model has a classic design and the optical scheme is based on Porro prisms. The optical elements are made of quality BaK-4 glass. The lenses have been treated with FC coating with multiple layers of anti-reflective coating, which allows the binoculars to offer an image with good contrast and minimal optical aberrations.
The plastic body is airtight and protects the lenses from dust and moisture. The rubber coating on the body provides a secure grip and absorbs accidental impacts. The nitrogen filling prevents the lenses from fogging. The eyecups, which fold upwards, provide additional comfort for those wearing glasses.
The Levenhuk Nelson 8x30 marine binoculars feature a waterproof and floating body: if accidentally dropped into water, they will not sink and the prisms and lenses will not sustain damage. If you add a brightly colored Levenhuk FS10 strap to these binoculars, losing them will be impossible!
The eyepieces have individual focusing, and it is necessary to adjust each optical tube separately. There is no central focusing wheel. The binocular body has a special mount to attach this optical instrument to a tripod.
A feature of this model is an integrated compass with a diode light and a rangefinder. The diode light is powered by batteries. When looking through the eyepieces, you can see a vertical rangefinder scale and a compass dial with a division value of 1°. North is at 360°, south is at 180°, east is at 90°, and west is at 270°.
It is possible to calculate the distance of the observed object or its size (height) using the rangefinder. An unknown parameter can be calculated with a special formula. Use the indications of the rangefinder in the formula.
