Optical tube with Levenhuk Ra R80 ED Carbon doublet

The optical tube with Levenhuk Ra R80 ED Carbon doublet is an 80 mm apochromatic refractor with two lenses, a short focal length, and extra-low dispersion optics. It features a large aperture and a wide field of view, but its main strength is the effective reduction of chromatic aberration, thus delivering images of maximum clarity. Thanks to the fully multi-coated optics, this telescope produces bright images with high contrast. This optical tube is an excellent choice for direct observations and astrophotography.

The body is made of carbon fiber, which is lighter than aluminum. Additionally, the thermal stabilization of this OTA is faster since the performance of its body does not vary with temperature changes, so only the optics and the air inside the tube need to “cool down.” This allows observations to start more quickly, also due to the quick-release thumb screw. This OTA is equipped with a 2" dual-speed Crayford focuser. It guarantees smooth sharpness adjustment without backlash and securely supports even the heaviest optical accessories.

The Levenhuk Ra R80 ED Carbon optical tube is ideal for use outside the city due to its compact size and lightness, making it portable and easy to carry. Additionally, the kit includes a sturdy aluminum case.
