The Levenhuk Skyline PLUS 80S is a telescope for experienced and very demanding users. This Newtonian reflector is perfect for observing deep sky objects: you can identify all the objects in the Messier catalog and the brightest objects in the NGC catalog. It will be possible to study dozens of star clusters and planetary and diffuse nebulae. Obviously, you can also explore the nearer space, starting from lunar craters, to Saturn’s rings, Jupiter’s atmospheric vortices, Mars’ storms, Mercury’s phases, etc. Even Uranus and Neptune are distinguishable as small circles.
The telescope optics are made of fully coated anti-reflective glass. The included accessories are chosen to enhance and make use of all the optics’ capabilities. By using two eyepieces and a Barlow lens, it is possible to reach the maximum usable magnification, allowing the observation of astronomical objects in the sharpest and most detailed way possible, or, conversely, you can choose a wider field of view for observing the vast deep sky objects. This well-balanced accessory kit helps avoid purchasing additional components.
The telescope is equipped with an equatorial mount. It allows the identification of astronomical objects, but practice is necessary to master its use and operate the telescope at best. The mount is fixed to an aluminum tripod. Thanks to the individually height-adjustable legs, the tripod can be positioned on any terrain. It also features an accessory tray.
