The stylish and bright Rainbow 2L PLUS microscopes are the logical continuation of the Levenhuk Rainbow 2L series. The new microscopes combine all the advantages of the previous line with new beneficial features. These microscopes are equipped with two lighting systems – you can therefore observe transparent, semi-transparent, and opaque samples.
Each model comes complete with a Levenhuk K50 experiment kit – this kit will help young researchers with their first experiments and initial independent research. The main difference of the new microscopes is their improved optical elements. They have a higher magnification power (up to 640x) and can be used for serious research by biology students. All microscopes are equipped with spring-loaded objective lenses – their design prevents any damage, even if the objective touches the slide during focusing.
Levenhuk Rainbow 2L PLUS microscopes have a reliable metal body – they are known for their long life even when used intensively in universities or laboratories. And, of course, we must mention their modern design and their five bright colors – one of these beautiful microscopes will look great in your child's room or on your desk.
Excellent optical elements
The Levenhuk Rainbow 2L PLUS biological microscopes are made only from the highest quality materials. The lenses are made of special highly transparent optical glass. For better light transmission, the optical surfaces are coated with multiple layers of anti-reflective coating, which increases the sharpness and contrast of the images produced.
The kit includes three objective lenses that produce magnifications of 64x, 160x, and 640x. The most powerful objective lens (40x) has a special spring mechanism to protect the optical elements.
Combined illumination
One of the main advantages of the model – the microscope is equipped with two LED illuminations. The bottom illumination is used to see transparent samples, such as liquids or small sections of plant and animal tissue. The top illumination allows observing opaque objects – paper, minerals, fabric, and metal. If you switch on both illuminations, you can observe semi-transparent objects. You can adjust the brightness for better viewing.
Comfortable and durable body
The reliable body is made of metal – it can easily withstand frequent use and serve you for many years. For greater comfort, the monocular head is tilted at 45 degrees. Moreover, it can be rotated 360 degrees – which is very convenient for group work, just rotate the head without moving the microscope. The instrument can be used indoors and outdoors – the microscope works via an adapter or batteries.
Warning: Refer to the specifications table for the correct mains voltage and never attempt to connect a 110 V device to a 220 V outlet and vice versa without using a converter. Remember that the mains voltage in the United States and Canada is 110 V and 220–240 V in most European countries.
