Levenhuk MED D10T LCD Digital Trinocular Microscope

The Levenhuk MED D10T LCD digital microscope is equipped with a digital camera with an LCD screen, which does not require connection to a computer. For this reason, the microscope is self-sufficient: it does not require additional equipment to reveal all its capabilities. It allows observations using the bright field method, taking research photos and recording videos. The image resolution is sufficient for sharp and clear transmission of small details of complex biological structures.

High-level optics

The achromatic objective lenses allow detailed observation of micro-objects with a magnification range from 40x to 1000x. The 100x objective lens can be used for immersion observations in oil (a bottle of immersion oil is included in the kit). In addition, high-magnification objectives have spring-loaded mounts that protect against accidental damage. The wide-field eyepieces provide 10x magnification and are suitable for working with extended samples. All optical elements are protected with antifungal coating.

Tested rotatable head

The head consists of a binocular viewing part and a vertical eyepiece tube where a digital camera is installed. A 30° inclination angle of the viewing part is comfortable for long observations and helps reduce neck muscle strain. The 360° rotatable head is useful for group research.

Digital capabilities

The digital camera deserves special attention: a 5 MP sensor allows you to take photos and shoot high-quality videos — the image seen through the objective lens is transmitted to an LCD screen in real-time. The pre-installed software allows configuring the camera, editing photos and videos, saving shots for further work. Moreover, it is also possible to connect headphones, a keyboard, and a mouse. Support for external memory storage is provided. The camera makes laboratory work easier and more comfortable for researchers: there is no need to strain the eyes to observe slides through the eyepieces when everything is visible on the integrated LCD screen with touch controls. The software allows adjusting image size, brightness and contrast, gamma, sharpness, and saturation, exposure time, and white balance, calibrating the camera and objective lenses, and also enables measuring samples and structures (various measurement units available). Additionally, the program allows performing granulometric particle analysis.

Comfortable work with slides

The stage is equipped with a mechanical scale, which is used for precise placement of samples under an objective lens. A double-layer mechanical stage can be moved along two axes. Coarse and fine focusing are used to adjust sharpness.

Intense illumination of slides

The lighting system is located at the bottom of the microscope. It consists of an intense 5W LED light and an Abbe condenser with an iris diaphragm and filter holder. The light brightness is adjustable. It is powered by an AC adapter.

Attention:

For information on the correct mains voltage, refer to the specification table — never attempt to connect a 110 V device to a 220 V power outlet and vice versa without using a converter. Note that the mains voltage is 220–240 V in most European countries and 110 V in the USA and Canada.
