Levenhuk MED 30 is a trinocular microscope that is part of the Levenhuk MED professional series. The microscope uses achromatic, semi-plan infinity-corrected optical elements, which allow the installation of additional accessories (purchased separately) to extend the capabilities of the microscope. This microscope is excellent for specialists in clinical and diagnostic laboratories, research institutes, or university departments. It enables working with small structures and conducting sophisticated microbiological research.
Semi-plan achromatic optics with infinity correction
The Levenhuk MED 30 series microscopes feature an infinity-corrected optical system, used in professional and high-end microscopes. This system includes semi-plan objectives and allows obtaining clear, high-contrast images with excellent flatness.
One of the most important features of the infinity-corrected optical system is that it allows the installation of additional parts in the optical path between the objective lens and the eyepiece. Additional parts include polarizers (all Levenhuk MED 30 microscopes have a special slot for installing these), epifluorescence lights, and devices. Overall, the modularity and ease of use make the Levenhuk MED 30 microscopes optimal for use in various microscopy fields, including hematology, histology, microbiology, and other laboratories.
Rotatable head with beam splitter
The trinocular head consists of an eyepiece for installing a digital camera (not included) and a binocular head for visual observations. The 30º tilt angle is comfortable for extended working periods, and the 360° rotatable head allows efficient use of the microscope for group work. A beam splitter is included.
Optical system capabilities
Wide-field eyepieces allow diopter adjustment to the user's vision. The eyepieces provide 10x magnification. Five objective lenses are included; those with higher magnifications are equipped with a retractable spring mechanism to protect the optics from accidental damage. A 100x objective is used for observations with immersion oil. All objectives are semi-plan achromatic and thus improve color rendition, eliminate optical aberrations, and significantly flatten the field of view. The optical elements of the accessories are protected with an anti-fungal coating. Sharpness is adjusted with coarse and fine focusing knobs.
Working with slides under LED illumination
The stage features a metal scale, making it easy to position a specimen under the objective lens. Under the stage, there is an Abbe condenser with an iris diaphragm. Three included light filters enhance image contrast and allow distinguishing small sample details at high magnifications. A 3 W LED is used to illuminate specimens. It is located beneath the condenser and offers adjustable brightness. The LED light has a lens that enhances brightness. Köhler illumination setting is available. The light is powered by an alternating current source.

Attention:
Refer to the specifications table for the correct mains voltage and never attempt to connect a 110 V device to a 220 V socket and vice versa without using a converter. Remember that mains voltage in the USA and Canada is 110 V, and 220–240 V in most European countries.
Some things that can be observed under the microscope:
The Levenhuk MED 30T trinocular microscope is compatible with Levenhuk digital cameras (sold separately). Levenhuk cameras are installed in the eyepiece tube, replacing an eyepiece.
