With the eyepiece included in the kit, the microscope can offer magnifications of 150x, 450x, and 900x. It is possible to study transparent samples such as prepared slides.

The microscope is easily portable. The illumination is battery-powered, so it can be taken along on a walk, to school, or friends' houses. During daytime observations, the built-in mirror can be used to illuminate samples, so there is no need for batteries.
