The Levenhuk Halo 13X digital binocular night vision device is the perfect assistant for observations in total darkness. It is suitable for observing urban and natural landscapes, as well as for studying unknown areas. It proves indispensable for ensuring safety during long excursions. It is practical and can also be used for daytime observations, just like a normal binocular. This way, it is possible to carry only one instrument on a trip.
Night detection range: up to 300 meters
The optics are made of glass with an anti-reflective silicon dioxide coating. This allows the lenses to work more efficiently in complete darkness, delivering sharper and higher-contrast images. During the day, it is possible to study any object at distances over three meters. At night, the view extends up to 300 meters. To improve visibility, turn on the infrared (IR) LED illumination, whose brightness can be adjusted. Turn off the backlight completely to save battery. The highest brightness level offers optimal detail richness. Note that the device can display an image in color, black and white, fluorescent green, or with a negative effect. However, the color image is not available when night mode is active.
Built-in video and photo recorder
This device allows not only to make observations but also to record videos and take photos. The photo resolution is 2048x1536 pixels. However, if needed (to save memory card space), it is possible to reduce the resolution to 640x480 pixels. Thanks to a capture frequency of 30 frames per second, videos are very smooth. Normally 24 fps are sufficient, but the Levenhuk Halo 13x adopts a higher standard to make the video more pleasant to watch. It is very convenient to immediately review images on the device's screen. This binocular supports memory cards up to 32 GB. It is possible to transfer images to a computer via a USB cable.
Up to 10 hours of autonomy without changing batteries
The optical and electronic components are housed in an ergonomic and water-resistant body with a non-slip surface. The binocular is comfortable to hold. Once gripped, the control buttons are precisely aligned with the user’s fingers. It is an easy-to-use instrument, and navigating its menu is really intuitive. The binocular night vision device is powered by standard AA batteries or AA Ni-MH rechargeable batteries, which can be purchased in any store. We recommend always having an extra set on hand to ensure the device does not turn off at the least opportune moment. This eventuality is quite unlikely, since a set of standard or rechargeable batteries guarantees continuous use for 4–10 hours. Battery life depends on the intensity of the backlight.
Note well: during operation, the IR illumination (infrared light) can be detected by cameras and camcorders as well as by other similar electronic devices.
