The Levenhuk 500B binocular microscope is perfect for laboratory analysis of stained slides containing plant or animal tissues. Thanks to the halogen light, the entire range of visible colors will be transmitted as accurately as possible, and the excellent detail contrast will impress even the most demanding researchers. This microscope is a fantastic choice for biochemists, microbiologists, or veterinarians.
This model is equipped with wide-field eyepieces with 10x magnification and achromatic objectives with 4x, 10x, 40x, and 100x magnification. For greater convenience, the binocular head is inclined at 45° and also rotates 360°. The optics allow examination of samples at magnifications between 40x and 1000x using the bright field method combined with oil immersion. Two of the objectives feature front lens protection (spring retractable mechanism): the 40x and 100x objectives. Immersion oil should be used with the 100x objective.
The microscope is equipped with a stage fitted with a mechanical translator, useful for the precise positioning of the specimen under the objective. Under the stage, there is an Abbé condenser with adjustable height and an iris diaphragm. It is possible to install an optical filter using a special holder. The powerful halogen light is equipped with a collector and features brightness adjustment. The light is powered by AC mains electricity.
All optical components of this microscope are made of glass. The body is made of metal.
