Forster Hand Held Outside Neck Turner

The tool for cutting the outside necks of cases Forster allows the reloader to ensure that the bullet is released consistently from the case neck. At the moment of ignition, the case neck must expand to allow the bullet to release. If the case neck is thicker on one side than the other, the thinner side will release the bullet first, causing a slight misalignment between bullet and barrel, which can seriously compromise accuracy.

This tool, used with portable outside neck trimmer pilots (sold separately), allows the reloader to cut case necks to a uniform thickness. The carbide cutter is precisely sharpened and has a micrometer adjustment knob up to 5 ten-thousandths of an inch in both directions to ensure that the case necks are uniform.
