Discovery Channel informs, entertains, and inspires its audience around the world about the wonders of our planet, its diversity, and its surprises. Offering millions of people the opportunity to make new discoveries and satisfy their curiosity, Discovery provides an engaging mix of storytelling across multiple genres: science and technology, exploration, adventure, history, and a behind-the-scenes look at the people, places, and organizations that shape the world we live in.
We are proud to present the Discovery line of optical instruments, produced by Levenhuk and sponsored by Discovery.
The Discovery Spark 769 EQ is a Newtonian reflector with a spherical mirror perfect for beginners who want to explore deep-sky objects: nebulae, star clusters, and distant galaxies. Thanks to this telescope, it is possible to observe many of the listed objects and others from the Messier catalog. Interplanetary space, that is, the Moon and the planets of the Solar System, also remains accessible for observation. The colorful educational book “Space. Non-empty Void” will help review your astronomy knowledge and explore the starry sky.
The optical tube of the Discovery Spark 769 EQ telescope is manually oriented using its equatorial mount equipped with knobs for micrometric movement control. This makes it easy to track objects in their apparent motion across the sky without ever losing sight of them. It is a feature that will be appreciated by those who want to try astrophotography. The glass optics of the telescope have been treated with a special anti-reflective coating that significantly improves light transmission and, therefore, also the image quality. Celestial bodies will be visible sharply and clearly.
A sturdy aluminum tripod will help stabilize the telescope at the chosen observation site. The tripod height is adjustable according to the user’s needs. The accessory tray, positioned at the center of the tripod, holds replacement eyepieces, lenses, etc. Everything needed for observation is already included in the package.
