Discovery Nano is a classic basic monocular microscope for sample observation with magnification from 40 to 400x. With this microscope, you can examine both ready-made slides included in the kits and independently prepared samples. It is the perfect tool for a first introduction to the microcosm, as it allows performing simple scientific experiments directly at home. It will be a great assistant for biology study at school. The kit includes everything necessary for observations, including accessories and the colorful educational book "Invisible World."
The optical system consists of achromatic objectives and a widefield eyepiece. All lenses are made from optical glass, thus reproducing a sharp and contrast-rich image. The microscope allows observing small components throughout the entire magnification range. The 40x objective is equipped with a retractable spring-loaded protective mechanism. The monocular head can be tilted 30°, preventing fatigue when working at the microscope for extended periods.
The stage is equipped with specimen clips and a disc diaphragm with six apertures to regulate the light beam. The microscope uses dual LED illumination, i.e., placed both above and below the stage. This allows studying samples of any degree of transparency. Illumination is powered by standard batteries, already included in the kit.
Additionally, the microscope is sold accompanied by the educational book "Invisible World." This colorful book illustrates all the complexities encountered when using the instrument, such as which parts compose the microscope and their functions, what bacteria and protozoa look like, what can be seen in a drop of water, and much more, all explained with clear and simple language. Besides theoretical aspects, the book also describes interesting experiments that can be conducted at home using the Discovery Nano microscope.
