The Discovery Artisan 256 is a digital microscope with an LCD screen and rechargeable battery suitable for a wide variety of professional activities. It can be used for quality control in metalworking, for soldering, electronic circuits, and watch repair. Additionally, it can be used for jewelry and appraisal of art objects, to view the structure of minerals or coins, and much more. A handheld microscope is often used to inspect goods in stores and detect any mold growing on fruits and vegetables. The microscope is easy to use. It can be connected to a computer (Windows and Mac OS supported) or a TV and also allows you to take photos, record videos, and measure distances, angles, radii, and areas.

The image is produced by a built-in 5 MP camera, up to 12 MP with interpolation. The lighting system surrounding the lens consists of 8 white LEDs with adjustable brightness. When not needed, the lighting can be turned off. The microscope magnification ranges from 20x to 500x, and the focus can be manually adjusted within a range of 0 to 30 mm.

The microscope body is protected by a rubber cover, providing a comfortable grip. The set includes a small stand. It can be used for extended observations. To facilitate transport of the microscope, a carrying case is included.

Note: To save photos and videos, a memory card (not included) must be used.

Software usage tips:

• For proper program operation, launch the installed application only when the microscope is connected to the PC and ready for observation.
• Once connected to the PC, the device does not support magnification change functionality.

Note: Please note that the mains voltage in the United States and Canada is 110 V, while in most European countries it is 220–240 V. For information regarding the correct mains voltage, refer to the specification table. Never attempt to connect a 110 V device to a 220 V outlet, or vice versa, without using a voltage converter.

The Discovery Artisan 256 digital microscope is not compatible with external digital cameras.
