The Discovery Artisan 1024 is a portable microscope with a 5 MP digital camera. This device is powered by either mains electricity or battery, so it can be taken anywhere you wish. Practical for visiting clients or examining samples in the field. It is also suitable for presentations and group observations, since it is compatible with external devices. The capabilities of this device will be useful for various professionals: jewelers, geologists, numismatists, repair personnel, appraisers, and others. A handheld microscope is often used to inspect merchandise in shops and to detect any mold growing on fruits and vegetables.

The microscope features a 4″ color LCD screen that can be rotated. The image of the object placed under the lens is displayed on the screen in real time. This microscope allows capturing images and recording high-resolution videos. For this function, a memory card is required, sold separately. MicroSD cards with capacity up to 32 GB are supported. If needed, the microscope can also be connected to an external monitor, a TV, or a computer. All necessary cables are already included in the kit. Before connecting the microscope to the computer, remember to install the included software. The application provides access to additional features and the measurement of linear and angular distances of observed objects.

The microscope has an LED lighting system with brightness adjustment. The LEDs are positioned around the lens, so all observations are performed with reflected light. There is a polarizing filter that reduces glare and unwanted reflections when observing objects with shiny surfaces. The magnification is continuously variable in a range from 10x to 300x, and digital zoom allows reaching a magnification of 1200x.

The kit includes a small stand for stationary observations. Additionally, a case for protection and transport is included.

Tips for software use.

For the proper operation of the program, launch the installed application only when the microscope is connected to the PC and ready for observations.

Note: The mains voltage in the United States and Canada is 110 V, while in most European countries it is 220–240 V. For information regarding the correct mains voltage, consult the specifications table. Never attempt to connect a 110 V device to a 220 V power outlet, or vice versa, without using a voltage converter.
