It is suitable for all North American big game from elk and moose to the large and dangerous Kodiak bear and suitable for all large thin-skinned African game in rifles firing the 375 H&H Magnum cartridge. The excess velocity of maximum loads in the 378 Weatherby Magnum cartridge makes this bullet too light for close range and dangerous game.
