This die features a “dead-length” seating system with smooth, precise adjustment. Tests show that the sliding bullet guide produces cartridges with the least bullet runout. When used as a “dead-length” die, the die body contacts the shell holder, ensuring a consistent, precise seating depth.

The laser-engraved micrometer drum, with one-thousandth-of-an-inch graduations, is easy to read and functions like a precision depth micrometer. Adjustment is continuous and infinitely variable, offering perfect control over bullet seating depth.

The bullet seating stem is machined and polished to fit virtually any nose profile, without damaging it or leaving marks. 

The floating bullet guide is reversible: simply unscrew it and reinstall to allow simultaneous seating and crimping, a feature unique to Lee Precision. This die proves that precision doesn’t have to come at a high cost.
