HORNADY SST Bullets 257" 117gr #25522 (100pcs)

Acronym of “Super Shock Tip,” the Hornady SST bullet is designed to deliver a tremendous shock on impact, expanding quickly and reliably, especially at higher velocities. With a flat trajectory and lethal accuracy, it is the ideal choice for deer and most North American game, from antelope to elk, and for similarly sized African game. The SST creates a devastating wound channel.
POLYMER TIP
The durable and streamlined polymer tip increases aerodynamic efficiency and acts as a wedge into the core upon impact, initiating a fast yet controlled expansion.
INTERLOCK BAND
The Interlock band keeps the jacket and core locked together during expansion, allowing the SST to retain the mass and energy necessary for impressive wound channels.
CANNELURE
The cannelure works in combination with the Interlock band to lock the core and jacket together while also providing a consistent crimping point during loading.
SECANT DESIGN OF THE OGIVE
The profile produces low aerodynamic drag and flatter trajectories. The excellent surface contact with rifling ensures flight stability and the best ballistic coefficient.
